Most DS headlights are fifty years old, and they show it. Reflectors tarnish and the mechanisms that swivel and level the lights seize up. The result is dim, scattered light and a car you'd rather not drive after dark.

We restore the lights so they work as Citroën intended, and upgrade them where you want better visibility.

What's involved

Repair: cleaning or replacing reflectors, refurbishing housings and glass covers, and freeing up or rebuilding the swivel and levelling mechanisms.

Conversion: cars built for mainland Europe dip to the right, so they dazzle oncoming drivers in the UK. We convert them to dip left.

LED upgrades: brighter/daylight driving lights, whiter light that draws less power.

Why DS-specific expertise matters

On later cars, the inner headlights turn with the steering and the outer lights level themselves as the suspension moves. It's clever engineering, but it's linked to the steering and suspension, so it needs setting up with the car at the right height and the lights aimed correctly afterwards.

We've been working on these cars since 2006 and have looked after many hundreds of them. We know what to look for because we've seen what happens when it's missed.

Paul and Rad have looked after my cars for the past twelve years and I am very grateful for their expertise. There's so much to learn about the DS, and Paul has always been generous with his time and knowledge. He'll provide an honest appraisal on any potential purchase and identifies the many cars that are best avoided.
