A well set-up carburettor works, but it's fussy. It needs regular adjustment and struggles on cold mornings. Many owners end up with a car that runs well some days and not others.

Single-point fuel injection replaces the carburettor with a throttle body and electronic control. The car starts first time and adjusts itself for temperature and altitude.

What's involved

  • Removing the carburettor and fitting a single-point injection throttle body

  • Adding a fuel pump, pressure regulator and return line suited to injection

  • Fitting sensors and a control unit, with wiring kept neat and out of sight

  • Setting up and mapping the system to suit your engine

Why DS-specific expertise matters

There's not much room around the DS carburettor, and the air filter and intake have to clear the bonnet and the spare wheel, which lives in the engine bay. A kit designed for a generic engine rarely fits without modification. Ours is set up specifically for the DS and keeps the familiar look of the original carburettor arrangement.

We've been working on these cars since 2006 and have looked after many hundreds of them. We know what to look for because we've seen what happens when it's missed.

Paul and Rad have looked after my cars for the past twelve years and I am very grateful for their expertise. There's so much to learn about the DS, and Paul has always been generous with his time and knowledge. He'll provide an honest appraisal on any potential purchase and identifies the many cars that are best avoided.
