The DS has a lot of glass. On a warm day that turns the cabin into a greenhouse, and sitting in summer traffic with the windows down isn't much fun in any car, let alone one this comfortable the rest of the time.

Working air conditioning means you can use your DS year round, including the hot days when it looks its best.

What's involved

What we do depends on where you're starting from:

Repair: for cars with an original or earlier AC system, we diagnose leaks and faulty components, then repair or replace them and recharge the system.
Retrofit: for cars without AC, we fit a complete system designed around the DS, with components placed so they don't crowd the engine bay or the cabin.
Custom systems: for owners who want something specific.

Why DS-specific expertise matters

The DS engine bay is already busy, and the engine drives the hydraulic pump as well as everything else. Adding a compressor, condenser and pipework means finding space and drive for them without affecting the hydraulics or the cooling. A system that works in a modern car can overheat a DS in traffic if it's installed without thinking about airflow through the front of the car.

The cabin matters too. We'd rather an installation looks like it could have left the factory than bolt a box under the dashboard.

We've been working on these cars since 2006 and have looked after many hundreds of them. We know what to look for because we've seen what happens when it's missed.
